The Gala is the biggest music and art event held at iCLA, and it is held every spring and winter to celebrate the end of the semester. The event is an occasion for students to share their artistic and musical talents on a larger scale outside of the intimate settings of the Art and Music Studios. Furthermore, it is an event that all students, faculty, and staff look forward to every semester, as many of the works are projects that students have been working on throughout the semester. The event is largely organized by students with guidance from Interdisciplinary Arts professors. From art direction to sound direction to food direction, students are at the forefront of planning in this much-anticipated and grand event.
The theme of this year’s Winter Gala was “Casino”.
We had impressive musical performances by students on the main stage, including both original compositions and covers of beloved songs. We also had some surprise performances from faculty and staff!
In addition to the main stage performances, art exhibitions of student works in iCLA’s Art Studio and Cafe Corridor were also free for guests to browse. The works are student projects from the art courses and workshops held this semester. The Art Exhibit will be up until December 13th.
A big thank you to all the students, faculty, and staff who made this event possible. See you at the next Gala!
