Information regarding masks at the Graduation Ceremony
In light of the “Basic Policy on Countermeasures to Combat COVID-19” and other government policies, we ask for your cooperation regarding masks at the graduation ceremony as follows.
(1) For graduates, faculty members and staff
You are welcome to remove your mask for the duration of the ceremony.
However, the decision to wear or remove one’s mask is left to the individual discretion of each participant, and the university will not force participants to remove their mask if they wish to or need to wear one for personal reasons.
(2) For family members (parents/guardians)
Family members (parents/guardians) are requested to wear masks and to sit far enough apart so they are not within reach of each other.
However, as of March 13, 2023, per the change in policies in which the wearing of masks is left to the individual discretion of the participants, this does not apply to family members (parents/guardians) who are unable to wear masks due to health or other reasons.
