Sanjay Jhingan was born in New Delhi, India. After completing Undergraduate and Master degree in Physics from Delhi University he enrolled for PhD program at Tata Institute for Fundamental Research in the area of Theoretical Physics. He completed his PhD in 1998 on Topics in Theory of Relativistic Gravitational Collapse. He maintains an active research in Classical General Relativity, Relativistic Gravitational Collapse, Gravitational Waves, Astrophysics & Cosmology.
