Profile
Professor Peter Chang has extensive experience teaching international students seeking admission to undergraduate and graduate programs in the United States. His expertise is in TOEFL and the development of critical reading, writing and discussion capabilities among English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students. He was tapped as an instructor for the MEXT English Teacher Professional Development Project (文部科学省 日本人若手英語教員米国派遣事業) and has collaborated with various middle and high school practitioners to develop curriculum enhancements and can-do lists to enhance classroom instruction.
As a near-native speaker of English from Taiwan, Professor Chang aims to share his EFL learning experience with iCLA students and support them develop into high level English speakers. Professor Chang stresses commitment and hard work in his language classroom. He wishes to encourage iCLA students with a quote from the American inventor Thomas Edison: “Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration.”
