Profile

Dr Sam Stocker has taught painting, drawing, design, 2D and 3D mixed media, collage, assemblage, filmmaking and installation for over 15 years. In previous roles he has also taught students to use software such as Adobe Photoshop, Indesign and Final Cut for animation and video editing. He focuses his teaching on research, collaborative projects, discussion groups and various forms of site-related arts practice. He encourages students to develop artwork in an interdisciplinary way using regular tutorials to set targets. The possibilities raised by collaboration across different fields allows students to express themselves freely and explore new ideas creatively.
